Novena for the Solemnity of Christ the King- Day 6

Opening Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, King of Regnum Christi and the Legion, we thank you for giving life to our spiritual family. We thank you for calling each one of us to love and serve you and your Holy Catholic Church through this Movement. We thank you for giving us so many graces throughout the first seventy-five years of our existence, and we thank you for sending so many graces through our Movement into the world and the Church. We humbly ask you, through the intercession of Our Lady of Sorrows, St. Paul the Apostle, St. John the Evangelist, St. Michael the Archangel, and St. Joseph, to help us renew our love for you, for the Church, for our Movement, and for all people as we prepare to celebrate the Solemnity of the Kingship of your Sacred Heart over the whole Universe.

V/ Jesus Teaches Us to Refrain from Rash Judgment and Destructive
Criticism (Matthew 7:1-5, 12)

R/ “Stop judging, that you may not be judged. For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you. Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your
own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove that splinter from your eye,’ while the wooden beam is in your eye? You hypocrite, remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother’s eye… Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.”

Concluding Prayer

Let us pray:

Lord Jesus, pour forth your Holy Spirit to inspire us with these words from Holy Scripture. Stir up in our souls a deep, burning desire to seek your face always and everywhere, to believe without limits in your Gospel, and to live to the full the abundant life that you came to give us.

Open our hearts every day and in every situation to welcome your mercy and truth. Increase in us the influence of the gifts of your Holy Spirit, so that we can trust you more and more fully, and be your courageous witnesses and apostles in this fallen world, so needful of your redeeming grace.

Continue to bless our Movement as we joyfully serve the Church and the world, and walk with us along the path of faithfulness to your most holy name.  In our weakness and our need, remind us:  If not us, then who will proclaim the Gospel? If not now, then when will the Gospel be proclaimed?  If not the truth of your Gospel, then what shall we proclaim? 1

V/: O Sacred Heart of Jesus, burning with love for us,
V/: inflame our hearts with love for you.
V/: Christ Our King!
R/: Thy Kingdom come!
