Advent by Candlelight
A Women’s Evening of Reflection
Come prepare your heart for Jesus’ birth
Advent by Candlelight is a beautiful evening that brings women together to focus on the true meaning of this Blessed Advent Liturgical Season. During the evening, you will hear a couple of talks on the Advent preparation of our hearts and “Spiritual Motherhood” as emulated by our Blessed Mother; share a warm drink and dessert with friends and enjoy a festive spirit. You will savor the peace as the room will be bathed in the glow of candlelight as we await the Light of the world.
As a Table Hostess
You host a festive table of 5 to 7 friends (your sister, mother, WWP group, neighbor, coworker, a dear friend, a woman you would like to welcome back to church, a young mom in need of fellowship and community). Each table must have an Advent wreath with candles and a festive, fun setting such as a table cloth (linen or paper), Christmas plates (dishes or Christmas paper goods), or a poinsettia or small vase of flowers. You ask each of your guests to kindly bring a favorite snack or treat that you will all share or you can do this yourself (fun and festive snacks or treats of your choice such as Christmas treats, cookies, your favorite Christmas dessert, cheese & crackers, appetizer or dip, a little Advent gift or prayer card, and/or wine, soft drink, or apple cider).
As a Single Guest
You will join in the tables reserved for small groups or individuals.
