Advent by Candlelight Surrounding Us

St. Patrick’s of Armonk, NY

Advent by Candlelight St. Patricks Amonk

Was a beautiful evening full of peace and fellowship. Mary and Lauren spoke about transitions which is something I am personally going through at this point in my life. We can learn from the Blessed Mother who lived transitions with peace, joy, and surrender. Mary knew
that God was always with her so she was able to wait, ponder, and rejoice. The message filled my heart that evening! Lauren Karp, St. Patrick’s of Armonk, NY

Advent by Candlelight New Jersery

Close to 100 women gathered to prepare their hearts for the coming of Christ on the eve of the Immaculate Conception. The theme was Transitions. Transitions are difficult but we can handle them with grace and peace if we look to our blessed Mother’s example. Top discussions were;
1. Jesus is always with us. If we truly believe Christ is with us, how could we feel afraid? How could we not feel cared for and loved? If we are confused we should simply ponder things in our heart as Mary did. Ask God “what are you doing in me? Why are you allowing this in my life?”
2. Persevere with patience. We want uncomfortable situations to end quickly. But they don’t. There is always something. Picture Mary reading Ecclesiastes to us… to everything there is a season. She was able to live with peace and surrender. She knew how to wait and ponder.
3. Let Jesus in. His voice is compassionate and gentle. Not condemning and harsh.

St. Micheal Advent by Candlelight

The beauty of this year’s Advent by Candlelight was the joy of sharing this gift with others.

Last year was my first time attending, and I felt very special and loved. This year, I shifted my attention to loving others, and this filled my heart with a joy that comes from Heaven.

The sharing of the candlelight intimacy while listening to the beautiful music and Ally’s talk left me touched by the grace of God.  Her message to “try softer” particularly resonated with me.

The evening opened my heart to experience what space, stillness, and silence does; it allows the Holy Spirit to transform my very being into a little manger, waiting to receive the purpose of its life. Jesus, the Christ
