Favorite Scripture: Luke 5:1-5

“While the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he was standing by the lake of Gennesaret. And he saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. Getting into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, he asked him to put out a little from the land. And he sat down and taught the people from the boat. And when he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word, I will let down the nets.”

Father Javier, what are your main apostolates within Regnum Christi?

My mission is to help in the formation of legionary seminarians who have just started their religious life. It is an excellent opportunity to accompany these young men that Christ called to follow him. I enjoy my apostolate because I am helping Christ to form the future priests of the Church. It is an exciting mission.

Why do you love being a priest?

I like it because I can be very close to Christ; He is the love of my life. Also, I feel that I am his instrument so that he can bring his message to souls. Being a priest is a lifestyle where Christ is the center of my life.
