The footprints of nineteen beautiful women left their mark in the freshly fallen snow as they made their way to our Morning of Reflection on Saturday, January 12th.
Fr. Francisco Sunderland unwrapped and presented to us one final gift of the Christmas season by sharing his reflection on Time, Eternity, and The Kingdom. He transported us from Bethlehem, at the scene of the Nativity, to the cosmos, contemplating Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity. We learned about where and how, in our human existence, our earthly time intersects with heaven, emphasizing that no moment should be considered wasted, even in times of severe isolation or deprivation.
We also heard that, thanks be to God, these encounters not only allow us to see God’s creative works in new ways, but they also help prepare, purify, and bring us closer to Christ, God’s new creation. All of this is given so that one day we may be led into heaven by Jesus Christ and His angels.
