2022 March for Life – Regnum Christi Experiences

‘I’ll pick you up at 4:15 am’ may not be a typical text … but for longtime friends Linda and Mary, it simply marked the beginning of their latest adventure as they prepared for the March for Life in D.C.

The first meeting in 2005, both Regis High School and U.S. Naval Academy moms, and living only about 2 miles apart, their worlds intersect quite a bit. After FIVE years of Mary inviting Linda to R.C. retreats & events, Linda FINALLY said ‘yes’ … and was hooked!

Now, as fellow RC-ers, their friendship is deeper than ever as they share a great love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, helping to draw other souls to Him and helping women in crisis pregnancies. Both have worked with the Sisters of Life, spoken to groups on pro-life issues, and now marched in D.C. to witness the sanctity of life!

To a girl in a crisis pregnancy, feeling alone and frightened is one of the toughest challenges. Please, God, via this March, involving hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers, may they all know how loved and supported they are!!!!

And Lord, please may Roe vs. Wade be overturned, and may this be the last March ever; Linda and Mary will be quite content to find other adventures!

Fr. Joseph Brickner, LC, took many of the novice brothers from the Legionaries of Christ Novitiate and College of Humanities in Cheshire, CT, to the March for Life. Here are some of their stories.

Br. Jacob Ringer, nLC: I have been to the March for Life five times, and every single March has been a very peaceful and joyful experience, filled with young people from all over the states and sometimes all around the world.

Br. Anthony Norton, nLC: I was deeply moved by the March. Behind me was an army of Regnum Christi and ECYD members chanting and singing, lifting their hearts and voices in combat with the guileful lies of the devil. Life springs from the love of God, and in the face of any foe, no matter how threatening, we can trust in his aid towards victory. I appreciate more in this event the power of our Charism and our determination to set this world ablaze.

Br. John Paul Gregor, nLC: The March for Life brought with it a great family spirit. It unified the whole Church, especially those of us in Regnum Christi. Together we gave a voice the those who have none. We marched in support of the unborn and their mothers. Seeing all the pro-life marchers brought me much hope for the unborn. I truly believe abortion will end. Praise God for the work he has done!

Br. Sterling Foley, nLC: I was deeply moved to find out that 63 million babies have died from abortion. This is a tremendous amount of souls that are gone who never had a chance. However, there is hope. I saw it when I had the opportunity to march with my brothers and 150,000 people in freezing, cold Washington DC because we believe in life and that everyone should have life to the full. I believe that Jesus wants the same thing as well. That is why this issue is so important to me because I love my life, I know that I matter, and I know that God has a purpose for me. I want everyone else to be able to say the same thing.
