Natalie Puerto associated with Regnum Christi during the 2026 Spiritual Exercises. Here are her thoughts!
If a friend was thinking about coming to this retreat, what would you tell them?”
I would tell them to come with an open heart. It’s not just a retreat it’s an opportunity to truly encounter Christ in a personal way, to step away from distractions, and to remember what really matters. You don’t need to have everything figured out just open to Gods love
“What is one thing you’re taking home with you from this experience?”
A deeper conviction that Christ is close to me and calls me personally to live with purpose and to be an apostle in my daily life, especially through small acts of love and service.
“What surprised you most about the experience?”
The presence of God was the whole time in the silence and in the ordinary moments through prayer, meditations and even in simply being still. Peace came immediately at mass, adoration and rosary
“What’s one word you would use to describe this weekend?”
Love
“Where did you feel God speaking to you during the retreat?”
In moments of silent, prayer especially before the Eucharist and through father’s meditations. I felt Him inviting me to trust more, let go of control, and follow Him more closely in my everyday life. Spiritual direction was really deep and helpful too.
In Christ,
Natalia
