As we enter the wonder of the greatest week of the year for Christians throughout the world, let us focus, 24-7, on the Joy of our faith, and particularly the Joy of this most amazing week. Sometimes we can be caught up in the grief of Jesus’s passion and death on the cross, and this is natural for those who love Him. But unlike the disciples of His time, we know the ending– and it’s beyond just a good Hollywood finale! His is the eternal triumph of life over death, love over hate, joy over suffering. This week, Lord, let us carry this eternal joy in our hearts all day, and especially when we are out on the streets gathering souls for your feast. Let us convey convincingly, with all our souls, the Joy of the Gospel.
