For the past three years, during the season of Lent, Regnum Christi has become “My” quiet sanctuary where I can pause, breathe, and simply be in God’s presence. With his meditations and punctuality, Father Eric, once again, did a wonderful job at helping me reconnect with my Lord while deepening my understanding. Same location, same priest, and same Spiritual Exercises, but every year, I always leave the retreat feeling beyond blessed with positive thoughts and new resolutions.
This past weekend allowed me to recall and re-experience God’s love. Time in Adoration helped me to create space, and reflect on my life in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.
In summary, my Lent retreat was about rest, recollection, discernment, and decision-making…just what I need to advance spiritually, gaining insights and revelations.
Special thanks to Father Eric, Mary, and Roseanne, for making this an unforgettable Spiritual Exercises weekend.

These Spiritual Exercises were a bittersweet experience for me this year. I love that retreat location because it is clean, quiet, comfortable, and conducive to spending quality time with our Lord. It also holds many memories from all the past retreats I have attended there over the many years. But it will be the last time we can enjoy this location as the Friars need the space and they won’t be offering retreats there anymore. Roseanne and her staff, who always do such a great job hosting us, were very sad to say goodby. Roseanne hugged me and gave me a special message to send her love to all the ladies she has gotten to know from all the Regnum Christi retreats over these many years.
As I reflect on the retreat, I am filled with joy from all that I received. I also feel very blessed to be able to have this experience with such wonderful LC priests who guide the meditations, offer spiritual direction and the sacraments. I’m already looking forward to my next yearly retreat, even though it will have to be in a different location.
