On January 13th there was a Young Adult Retreat held at Saint Patrick’s Basilica. The retreat consisted of Confessions, Mediation, Adoration, Mass and Fellowship. The event was attended by young adults in their 20s and 30s living and working in New York City. The retreat’s objective was to spend time with God, for each participant to seek him from the heart and reflect on the graces received throughout 2023 and how this can be applied to 2024.

The prayer exercises and meditation were intended to recognize that God is with us always, he talks to us and in his divine mercy, he loves each one of us unconditionally and is always calling us to be more like him. What is God calling us to in this coming year and how do we discern and surrender to his Divine Will? It starts with making prayer a key component of one’s life, sitting in adoration and attending mass and confession frequently, in summary, partaking in the Sacraments God has so graciously made available to us.
