My name is Valentina Jost, and I went to the first ECYD gathering on Saturday, February 3rd. My experience was amazing. I met lots of new people that I bonded with and I felt like I belonged. There was a time where we could submit anonymous questions, and Father Jorge then sent us a video answering them. Everyone there was really nice and we all managed to learn more about our faith and who we are as Catholics. We played games to get to know each other, we had discussions about life, and we had a little bit of free time at the end where I managed to get to know a lot of people over common interests. Me and a bunch of other teens went out and we bonded over soccer and when we came back we were dirty and sweating, but happy. I fostered deep connections with them as we promised to have a rematch because we tied and we shook hands as we left. Overall it was a great experience because I managed to have a lot of fun and make friends while learning about my faith and who I am meant to be.
