Regnum Christi NY Tri-State Gala- A Night to Remember!

Thanks to our incredible Regnum Christi family and friends, this years What an amazing celebration of Regnum Christi family and friends! Our evening kicked off with a short Adorations followed by a divine Mass—accompanied by the beautiful voices of our Seminarian brothers. What followed was a high spirited cocktail hour and heart felt witnesses from fellow RC members and our special guest speaker, Fr. Juan Ramón de Andrés. We had a delicious dinner together, and then danced the night away to our own “RC LumenNation” Band. A great time was had by all, and the Holy Spirit was in the house all night long.

“The Gala was phenomenal!  It was the best fundraising event I have ever attended. The evening began with adoration. Eight Legionaries of Christ concelebrated a beautiful mass which was enhanced by a choir of nine Cheshire seminarians who sang the mass parts in Latin, giving everyone present a true taste of heaven.  After some remarks from Mary Rohe, the new RC Director, Luisa Mendoza gave testimony about how Regnum Christi has been a significant part of her formation from her early years in Venezuela, to her family’s move to the States, to her life here today.

Afterwards, the congregants moved to the Castle for a lively cocktail party with abundant drinks and delicious hor d’oeuvres. After ample time to relax and catch up with friends, all were invited to listen to a presentation by Father Juan Ramon who spoke movingly about his education mission in Venezuela which serves over 1,300 youth.  B.J. and Jeannine Agugliaro gave their lively testimony about how RC has benefited their family, and then they motivated us to raise our paddles in support of the important RC mission in the NY Tri-State and beyond.  With lots of laughs, and tremendous generosity from the attendees, the important business of supporting the mission was completed in short order.

All were invited to the ballroom where banquet style tables filled with candles, vines, and golden wrapped boxes filled the room. The rest of the night was reserved for laughter and camaraderie.

After dessert was served, everyone was invited to the “after party” with live music by LumenNation, a band composed of current Lumen members.  Father Mark Haydu joined in on an electric guitar and ably held his own in this scene.  Everyone enjoyed the music and the opportunity to dance and relax.

With old friendships rekindled, new ones made, and significant funds raised for the mission of evangelizing the world, everyone went home fulfilled and eager to return for another Gala next year.  Congratulations to all the priests, volunteers, participants and generous donors who gave their time, talent, and resources to make this evening such a tremendous success!”
